In our highly specialised unit of prenatal care and high-risk obstetrics we care for about 2000 high risk pregnant women and about 1000 pregnancies with fetal malformations as out- and inpatients.“
Focus of Care:
Sonography; diagnosis of malformations; specific first trimester diagnosis, anomaly and aneuploidy screening; examination of the
fetal heart (fetal echocardiography); preeclampsia screening in the
first trimester; non-invasive fetal aneuploidy testing from the maternal
blood; amniocentesis, chorionic villi sampling, fetal blood sampling).
Fetal Therapy and Surgery
Anaemia; arrhythmia; hydrothorax; cystic lung diseases: pulmonary sequester; diaphragmatic hernia; megacystis; aortic and pulmonary stenosis; feto-fetal transfusion syndrome; twin reversed arterial perfusion.
Management of pregnancies in women with pre-existing medical conditions. This includes regular interdisciplinary meetings with colleagues from related disciplines (e.g. cardiology, anaesthesiology, neurology, psychosomatic medicine).
