Dear visitors,
Welcome to the website of the clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy of the University Hospital Bonn!
Our clinic is responsible for the treatment of all mental illnesses in adulthood with five stations, a day clinic, an institute ambulance and several special outpatient clinics. In order to achieve the best possible treatment for our patients, we integrate pharmacotherapeutic, psychotherapeutic, biological, social therapeutic and complementary therapy procedures. In addition, we offer innovative stimulation methods for disease patterns such as depression.
Since mental illnesses often also play an important role in physical illnesses, we attach great importance to a thorough diagnosis.
As part of the University Hospital in Bonn, we are in close cooperation with the other departments. The most modern possibilities of diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases are available to us according to the latest state of science.

Our employees work professionally and humanely at the highest level, orient themselves to the evidence and are always on the current state of science. We are partly involved in the development of guidelines. In numerous national and international scientific projects we are networked with other treatment centres and explore questions about the formation, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental illnesses.
In addition to the treatment of mental illness and research, teaching as the third feature of academic psychiatry is of particular concern to us. Our clinic is certified as a training facility.

We hope our provided information is helpful for getting into contact with our clinic and its staff.

Prof. Dr. Med. Alexandra Philipsen
