BioBank

The BioBank Bonn is a service facility of the Medical Faculty of the University of Bonn and the University Hospital Bonn. It is directly subordinate to the Dean’s office and organized between the Institute of Pathology, the Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology, and the Institute of Medical Biometry, Informatics, and Epidemiology.

In accordance with the respective patient's consent, personal and therapy-related data can also be gathered and stored from patients from whom biomaterials have been collected. This is only done with the consent of the patient. The database structure and the IT processes of the BioBank Bonn are set up in compliance with data protection laws and the personal rights of the patients and test persons, and the data is subject to constant quality control with regard to completeness and correctness.
