Sample Collection
Tissue samples and liquid samples (liquid biopsy) can be stored and processed at BioBank Bonn. The biomaterial samples can be collected as part of a specific study that has already been applied for or the researchers can collect them prospectively for possible future projects. Before each project, please contact BioBank Bonn to discuss exactly how the samples should processed, whoch data should be stored and to coordinate the sample logistics.
Important: A valid patient consent form must be available for all samples sent to BioBank Bonn.
The collector (researcher / institute / clinic) always has the authority to Veto the provision of samples from the collective. Samples may be passed on to interested others with written consent.
Procedere
1. Request to BioBank Bonn & Discussion with BioBank on coordination an feasibility
- a. the type of material and processing
- b. the number of patients and samples
- c. the time period
- d. the accompanying document (what additional information should be documented)
- e. the samples logistics
2. Filing out the biomaterila storage form
3. Detailed coordination and approval or rejection of the project
4. Implementation of the necessary internal and external preparations
5. Start of the collection
Note: For same-day processing, please bring non-standard materials from Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm.
