Sample Query
BioBank Bonn has different collections. A distinction is made as to wether the samples have already been collected as part of a specific study and therefore already have an ethics vote, or wether prospectively collected samples are to be used as part of an new study. For the latter, the positive vote of the ethics committee must be submitted to BioBank Bonn orwritten confirmation from the ethics committee that it is not required for the project described.
If third parties are interested in biomaterial samples, BioBank Bonn requires written consent from the collector that the requested samples can provided to others. This has to be in written form and can be informal.
Please note: Publications that have made use of samples or data from the BioBank Bonn must indicate this in the acknowledgments or in another suitable manner.
Procedere
1. Written and informal request to BioBank Nonn
2. The sample request is checked and a distinction is made between
- a. Sample request from own colletion with project
- b. Sample request from own colletion without project
- c. Sample request without own colletion
3. Verification or request and verification of the positive ethics vote
4. If necessary, obtain written consent for sample provision
5. Implementation of internal preparations & agreement on the logistics of sample pick-up
6. Sample transfer with smple certificate & written confirmation of handover
