BNV-Forum „Survey of participants using the UK Bonn survey tool“

In modern clinical research, the timely and accurate collection of patient-reported outcomes (PROMs) poses a major challenge. Traditional paper-based methods are often prone to errors and result in low response rates. This presentation will introduce the in-house “UK Bonn Survey Tool,” a specialized digital solution developed by the University Hospital Bonn for surveying study participants. When & Where? Thursday, April 16, 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.  Location: CHSR (Building 02, Room 014)

05.05.2026 | Dr. Heike Krüger, RWTH Aachen
BNV-Forum „Artificial Intelligence in Research: Insights from the Social Sciences and Prospects for Health Services Research“

Artificial intelligence opens up new possibilities for empirical research. In this session, Dr. Krüger will provide insights into her research on the use of AI in social science contexts. She will demonstrate how AI-supported methods can contribute to the analysis of complex data and the development of new research approaches. The session will discuss the potential, methodological limitations, and possible bias and validity issues associated with the use of AI in research. The focus is on which of these approaches are relevant to health services research and how they can be critically evaluated and applied in compliance with data protection regulations. When & Where? Tuesday, May 5, 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Location: CHSR (Building 02, Room 014)
