About us
Bonn Network for Health Services Research
The Bonn Network for Health Services Research (BNV) is an interdisciplinary initiative dedicated to the scientific study and advancement of healthcare delivery. Its goal is to contribute to the sustainable improvement of health services in Bonn, the surrounding region, and beyond through evidence-based research and collaborative exchange.
Health services research focuses on analyzing the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of healthcare. It examines how medical care is delivered in real-world settings and how it is experienced by patients — encompassing prevention and early detection, diagnosis and treatment, as well as follow-up and rehabilitation.
The BNV brings together researchers from various disciplines at the University of Bonn, the University Hospital Bonn, and other collaborating institutions. The network is united by a shared commitment to improving healthcare through interdisciplinary research and innovative approaches.
A key aspect of the network’s work is the promotion of cooperation and knowledge exchange. The BNV initiates and supports research projects, connects disciplines and institutions, and provides a platform for dialogue and collaborative development.
In addition, the network regularly organizes events that address current topics and challenges in health services research. These formats foster interprofessional exchange, generate new impulses, and help translate research findings into healthcare practice.
