Anaesthesia treatment
In certain cases, dental treatment under intubation anaesthesia (ITN) is necessary. We work closely with the oral surgery department in such cases. The aim is to carry out comprehensive dental restoration in just one appointment – this usually includes teeth cleaning, necessary fillings and the removal of teeth that are beyond repair.
Please note: Periodontitis or root canal treatment is not possible under anaesthesia. Severely damaged teeth in these areas must therefore be removed.
Due to high demand and limited capacity, we can currently only perform ITN treatments if one of the following indications is present:
- very young children (under 3 years of age) or weighing 12 kg or less,
- severe cardiological, immunological, neurological or oncological diseases,
- certain respiratory diseases or syndromic conditions,
- physical or mental limitations that make regular treatment impossible.
Please note that we are unfortunately unable to treat physically and mentally healthy children aged 3 years or older, or weighing more than 12 kg, with ITN. If you are unsure whether your child has an indication, please call us in advance on +49 228 287 22428.
