Federal Voluntary Service & Voluntary Social Year

In cooperation with the University Hospital Bonn (UKB), it is possible to complete a voluntary social year or federal voluntary service at our dental clinic. The offer is aimed at committed young people who would like to gain initial practical experience in everyday clinical work and gain a sound insight into a modern dental working environment.

Working at the UKB combines patient-oriented care with the structured work processes of a university hospital – an ideal setting for orientation, personal development and career exploration.

Areas of activity

During the Federal voluntary service/Voluntary social year, you will support our teams in various areas of responsibility, including:

• Supporting dental assistants in patient care
• Assisting with organisational processes in everyday treatment
• Supporting materials and instrument logistics
• Transfers, administrative tasks and internal official channels
• Insights into the processes of a hospital with care, teaching and research

Requirements

• Minimum age: generally 16 years old
• Team spirit, reliability and enjoyment of working with people
• Interest in dentistry, healthcare and clinical work processes
• Responsible and friendly manner towards patients
