Phase I-Unit University Hospital Bonn
We bring academic and clinical research into early clinical development
The test station (Station Busch) of the Institute for Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology is located in the middle of the inpatient care of the most important clinical disciplines. It has a total of 12 beds, 6 of which are equipped with continuous monitor monitoring and long-term storage of telemetric 12-channel ECG, pulse oximetry and blood pressure. The unit is suitable for all types of clinical studies that require inpatient monitoring, even over long periods, or outpatient care. Access to the Phase I unit can be restricted if necessary. In order to ensure maximum safety for test subjects, in addition to constant nursing care and the possible presence of a doctor around the clock, emergency management has been established with the clinic for anesthesia and intensive care unit. If necessary, a study can be carried out under direct anesthesiological care. In addition, the integration of the phase I unit into the university clinic gives direct access to all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as well as medical expertise in all disciplines of a maximum care facility.
