Staff
The Phase I Unit employs highly qualified medical and non-medical staff (including trial coordinators, study nurses, pharmacists, IT managers and quality managers) to conduct specialised early-phase clinical trials—including the first-time application of drugs and medicinal products (“first-in-human studies”) — in line with the recommendations of the Association of Medical Ethics Committees in Germany (AKEK). Specifically, staff have been trained in preventing or increasing placebo and nocebo effects, something that can be of particular interest when determining subjective readouts.
Medical specialists and other specialist staff from various disciplines from neighbouring departments can be involved to provide support if required, either for specific tasks (diagnostics, scoring, treatment decisions, recruitment) or entire clinical trials.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you are interested in conducting a clinical trial at the Phase I Unit.
You can also contact us at any time if you would like to be a subject in a trial.
