Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology
Welcome to our Institute!
The Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology was founded in July 2007 when the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and the Institute for Clinical Biochemistry were combined and has since pursued primarily immunologically-oriented research.
The Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology (ICCCP) covers the areas of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology through research, teaching, and patient care. The Central Laboratory of the University Hospital is a part of the Institute, which includes the Phase-I Unit for early clinical trials, the Study Center Bonn (together with the Institute of Medical Biometry, Informatics, and Epidemiology, IMBIE) and the BioBank Bonn (together with IMBIE and the Institute of Pathology), as well as a number of scientific research labs. The Institute is a member of the research focus area of ImmunoSciences and Infection and is part of the Bonn Institutes of Immunosciences and Infection of the Medical Faculty of the University of Bonn. The director of the institute is both the founding and current spokesperson for the DFG Cluster of Excellence ImmunoSensation and the DFG Collaborative Research Center TRR 237 Nucleic Acid Immunity. The Institute is also part of the Center for Integrated Oncology (CIO) Cologne/Bonn (German Cancer Aid) and the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF), as well as several Collaborative Research Centers (including, SFB TRR 237, SFB TRR 259, and SFB 1454).
The Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology can be found on the Venusberg Campus of the University Hospital Bonn and is scattered amongst several buildings. For more information about finding your way to the Institute and how to contact us, see here.
