Semester data
Dear students,
(the teaching language will be German)
We are pleased to be able to offer you the block practical course in psychiatry again this semester as a face-to-face course with patient presentations. Please refer to the information provided by the Dean of Students Office for your group assignments. You will always find the group dates and lecturers updated on our intranet page (Teaching, in the box at the bottom right) or on eCampus.
The first week of the block practicum has been designed as an inverted classroom format. That is, after self-study of the online presentations, the practical part takes place in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in the period from 11 am - 1 pm from Monday to Thursday. Here, open questions will be discussed and patient presentations will also take place on the respective topics. The second week takes place in the departments of the LVR-Klinik Bonn in the time from 9-13 o'clock.
For the first week at the UKB we would like to ask you to be at the entrance area of the NPP (Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychosomatics), building 80, about 15 min before the seminar starts. Please attach your student ID card in a clearly visible position, which allows unhindered access to the building, as is the case for staff. There will be no control by security personnel at this point, as there is for other visitors. The course instructor will then pick you up and go with you to seminar room 1OG/028. According to the current hygiene concepts of the UKB, visitors to inpatients must wear an FFP-2 mask (if this is not tolerated, at least an MNS). Since we usually include patients in the seminars, the wearing of an FFP2 mask is mandatory (exception: see above). Independent testing is no longer required as of March 1, 2023.
The practical classes in the second week at the LVR clinic will also take place from Monday to Thursday from 9 am - 1 pm. Meeting point is the main entrance, Information, Kaiser-Karl-Ring 20 in 53111 Bonn. After a welcome by one of the head physicians, the patients are divided among the various departments. At least one patient exploration with preparation of a case report with feedback by the lecturers is planned. At the end, a joint feedback round takes place. The following applies to the LVR Clinic: wearing masks is not mandatory. However, in case of mild cold symptoms, wearing an FFP2 mask is mandatory. In case of more severe cold symptoms, the LVR-Klinikum asks that you stay at home.
The optional lectures on the subject of psychiatry and psychotherapy will also take place this semester as classroom lectures, each Monday from 15:45 to 17:15. The topics, lecturers and dates will be available online (clinic website, eCampus) in a timely manner. The start of lectures is 03.04.2023
For further questions, please contact the lecturers of the clinics (Dr. P. Broich, Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Prof. Dr. K. Fließbach, Clinic for Gerontopsychiatry).
