SARS-CoV-2 is a disease of the respiratory tract with various possible complications in its course. Severe lung disease with respiratory insufficiency and the need for ventilation is possible. Both after intensive medical treatment and after initially somatically less complicated courses, cognitive-psychological impairments with concentration difficulties, lack of drive and other depressive symptoms occur in about 10% of patients.
