Research

We pursue a translational and transdiagnostic research approach. Psychiatric diseases do not adhere to diagnostic boundaries, neither etiopathogenetically nor clinically. Therefore, we investigate the basic mechanisms of vulnerability to mental illness, both clinically and collaboratively, and the modulation of affective experience and its effects on behaviour, cognition and perception.

Interventionally, we are particularly interested in innovative and personalised treatment methods - pharmacologically and especially psychotherapeutically. We also use medical technology approaches and scenarios (e.g. in the Virtual Reality Lab).
