Institut für Patientensicherheit
Das Institut für Patientensicherheit (IfPS) ist das erste universitäre Institut in Deutschland, das sich explizit dem Thema Sicherheit von Patientinnen und Patienten in der Gesundheitsversorgung mit seiner Forschung und Lehre widmet. Das Institut startete seine Arbeit am 1. Januar 2009 als Stiftungsprofessur des Aktionsbündnis Patientensicherheit e.V. (APS).
Seit 2018 ist es ein Institut der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Bonn mit verschiedenen Forschungsschwerpunkten in der klinischen und außerklinischen Patientensicherheit sowie Lehrprojekten und Lehre in vier verschiedenen Studiengängen. Das interdisziplinäre Team besteht derzeit aus Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern diverser Fächer mit engem Bezug zur Gesundheitsversorgung.
