NeuVa ART Lab

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By registering for the NeuVa ART Lab - Mandala Project workshop series you agree to the following:

1. NeuVa ART Lab workshops are public science art events open to anyone interested in learning and crafting. For the Mandala Project participants will have available textile materials for the crafting activities, cost-free.

2. Registration for participating in any of our events is mandatory. Name and Email address is required. Registered participants agree to crafting activities in groups and provide consent that the organizers use the resulting artworks in art and science events.

3. During NeuVa ART Lab Mandala Project we will create collectively art pieces that will be used by the organisers for art exhibitions and other events. The name of the creators and the consequent art authorship will be considered during exhibitions and other public events. The organisers will inform the participants (per email) about the events where their artworks will be displayed.

4. NeuVa ART Lab - Mandala workshop series are offered free of charge. Materials are provided free of charge for use during the crafting sessions. Participants should not take materials to craft somewhere else (e.g., at home) without prior consent of the organisers.

5. NeuVa ART Lab organizers will keep and store the artworks produced during the Mandala Project until December 2027 to the latest. After this deadline, the authors of the Mandala artworks will be contacted per email. The author will have the opportunity to recover their artworks or to donate them to Nueva ART Lab.

6. Notice regarding photo and video recordings (in accordance with GDPR): Photos and videos will be taken during this event. These recordings may be published in connection with the event for public relations and reporting in print media, on websites and in social media. Legal basis: The processing is based on the legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the documentation and public presentation of our event. Right to object: You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please contact the event staff directly.

7. During Nueva ART Lab events, we may take photographs and video recording in which you as a participant can also be seen. Participants will have the possibility to inform the photographers and the workshop organizers if they do not agree to be photographed. We will use the photos and video recordings for internal event documentation and for communications and/or reporting. We might use photographs on our website, in flyers or comparable advertising materials, and in our social media channels.

8. We create and use the photos and process the personal data in internal and external communication about our events on the basis of the DSGVO. The photos and personal data are stored for the duration of our legitimate interest. Personal data will be kept until the end of the Mandala Project (around Dec 2027).

9. The workshop organisers do not hold any responsibilities for personal items lost during the events e.g., personal items left forgotten in the event’s room.

10. For the workshop organisers the private sphere of the participants is a high priority. Therefore, participants should avoid take pictures and video recording of other participants if they haven’t given their personal consent.

11. During the NeuVa ART Lab events parents and/or tutors must care for their children. For the Mandala Project we will be using needles and other sharps, wire, scissors, and many small items. The organisers do not hold responsibilities for toddlers and small children safety.

12. Registered participants must be able to work with needles, sharp tools, and scissors. Participants agree to use sharps and cutting tools in a safe way. The organisers do not hold responsibilities for injuries resulting from careless use of sharp crafting materials.

13. The Nueva ART Lab offers an inclusive and safe environment for anyone interested in art and science. We are committed to openness. However, the organisers will cancel the registration of any participants showing undesirable or disrespectful behaviour, including verbal offenses and damage to the property.

14. Registered participants are requested to treat furniture and room facilities properly.

15. For the Mandala Project, registered participants agree to stay in the assigned room for the duration of the workshop. The access to unauthorised rooms and facilities is forbidden.

16. The workshops will take place at IMPULSE – and you will be a guest there. Only the assigned rooms on the 1^st floor of the building (as well as the restrooms in the basement) are to be used by and accessible to the participants of the workshop.
