Department of Cardiac Surgery

Our successful concept combines power in medical performance with modern technical equipment at our Department for Cardiac Surgery of the University Hospital Bonn, where we have a highly motivated and patient oriented staff.
An excellent and well trained team of medical specialists guarantees the best medical treatment in diagnosis and therapy of cardiac and vessel diseases. 

Our department performs more than 1.700 operations per year, 1.000 of them are assisted by heart lung maschine as well as coronary surgery on the beating heart.
We have a special section for Pediatric Surgery which works closely together with our collegues in Pediatric Cardiology.
