The Department of Gynaecology and Gynaecological Oncology is also a certifed Gynaecological Cancer Centre (German Cancer Society) and a Centre for Uterine Sarcomas.
Under the ward’s care, every patient receiving treatment for a gynaecological condition is assured of direct access to the very latest national and international treatment strategies and clinical trials. Each patient we treat receives individual counselling and an integrated programme of care, including post-operative care. We offer a full range of laparoscopic and minimally-invasive techniques, as well as vaginal methods.
Our interdisciplinary and highly professional team of experts includes radiologists, urologists, surgeons, pathologists, oncologists, gastroenterologists, anaesthetists, nuclear medicine practitioners and radiotherapists, as well as psycho-oncologists based at the University of Bonn. Our hospital is also home to a Centre for Interdisciplinary Endometriosis and Uterine Fibroid Treatment. Apart from the primary goal of restoring our patients’ health, the safety of our patients and improving their quality of life are also key objectives in our work here. Our patients are also offered psycho-oncological and psychological consultations from an early stage in treatment
