Plastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery

The Bonn Breast Center is certifed by the German Society of Cancer and focuses on reconstructive and aesthetis breast surgery as well as medical oncology. The doctors, nurses, and other specialists are highly experienced in caring for people with breast cancer. Our team will develop a treatment plan leading to the best possible outcome.
Prof. Dr. med. Andree Faridi, Director of the Department of Senology/Breast Center, is a nationally and internationally recognized
expert. Faridi had previously been Director of the Vivantes Breast Center Berlin.

BREAST CANCER SURGERY and MEDICAL ONCOLOGY

The goal of surgical treatment for breast cancer is complete resection of the tumor with tumor free margins.

Focus of treatment:
» mastectomy or a breast conserving surgery (lumpectomy) followed by radiation therapy.
» oncoplastic techniques (e.g. oncoplastic breast reduction)
» neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biologics, targeted drugs, and immunotherapy

RECONSTRUCTIVE and AESTHETIC BREAST SURGERY

Breast reconstruction can be done in a variety of ways. We offer

» breast implant surgery and breast reconstruction with autologous tissue (tissue from another part of the body)
» fat injections to plump up areas where tissue has been removed.
» breast lift/breast reduction/plastic surgery on the other breast to create a closely matched pair.

In addition we provide a broad spectrum of aesthetic breast surgery:

» Immediate and delayed breast reconstruction
» Expander/Implant and autologous tissue reconstruction with or without acellular dermal matrix (ADM) and synthetic mesh
